News : 105 embrace Islam in Uganda

On Sunday the Leader of the World Islamic People’s Leadership met with Ugandan Muslim activists comprising the chairman and members of the Ugandan Muslim Supreme Council, scholars, Du’at , Sheikhs, Islamic University Professors, FIC and Islamic University graduates, members of the Muslim Youth Conference and chairpersons of Muslim women's associations in Uganda.

During the meeting, 105 persons embraced Islam before the WIPL Leader, believing in Islam as the true religion in the sight of Allah.
The WIPL Leader was given a tumultuous welcome by the audience who were chanting "Allahu Akbar" (God is Great).
The meeting was inaugurated by a brief recitation of the Holy Qur’an, then the Imam of the grand mosque in Uganda Sheikh Rajab Kakooza, gave a welcoming speech.
Sheikh Kakooza welcomed the WIPL Leader in Uganda, he hailed his strenuous efforts in not only fighting all forms of ignorance, backwardness and oppression but also raising the banner of Islam.
He said: “Muslims nationwide in Uganda are jubilant over your visit.”
The Ugandan Muslim activist then presented the WIPL Leader with a copy of the Holy Qur’an translated into Swahili in recognition of his efforts for the triumph of Islam and Muslims all over the world.
Addressing the gathering, the Leader saluted Ugandan Muslims and praised Allah for the blessing of Islam. He then briefed the converts on the pillars of Islam. He explained to them that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the Prophet of Islam, and the seal of all Prophets and the only one who was sent to all of mankind (as opposed to a single nation or tribe).
The WIPL Leader called on the new Muslims to abide by the teachings of the Qur’an and avoid all that the Holy Book forbids. He also urged them to perform their religious duties and to conduct themselves exemplarily.
Amidst the applauses of Allahu Akbar, the Leader instructed the converts on the two testimonies of faith.
In their speech to the Leader, the newly guided reiterated their readiness to follow Islamic principles and to propagate the message of Islam. They thanked the Leader for honoring them by being their instructor at the declaration of the testimony. They also expressed their happiness of knowing Islam through WICS's Du’at . "We hope to be faithful Muslims”, they said.
